This beautiful desk features a walnut wood construction with a glossy black laminate coating which contrasts beautifully with the warm wood hue and grain texture. The legs and leg joinery are made of solid black iron with spherical wood feet tips and add bold elegance to this exemplary design. A lower compartment on the left side of the desk features two drawers and a removable shelf while the top compartment of the desk, which appears to float, features two sliding front doors made of glossy black plastic with a storage compartment behind. Though designed in 1952, this desk was part of the ’62 Series because it’s design was said to be 10 years ahead of its time.
